Horse Bag

This painting was one of my first acrylics. It was done as an exercise in prototyping merchandising collateral during my brief tenure at art school. The idea was that we were to come up with a specialty shop or boutique and design a four-sided bag or box for customers to carry out merchandise, and make a prototype. Any time an assignment like this comes up, I'll figure out some way to include horses in it. I showed up in class with the bag holding one of my stuffed horses. Nobody ever asked me the name of the boutique. Good thing, too, because I wouldn't have a clue.

This is about as close to commercial art as I've ventured.
