Three Friends This was a painting that was derived from, but not literally accurate to, three horses owned by a couple of friends of mine – a black percheron, a grey percheron, and a bay tennessee walker. Sadly, two of the three are no longer with us, but my photos and paintings live on. I set out to capture the color as it was influenced by the light and reflected colors. It's clearly a very early work, and I could easily make huge improvements in this today, but it's still a sentimental favorite of my wife's and mine.Acrylic on canvas board, 24" x 36" |
