This is the lion I painted in Mickey's Moon, from the San Francisco Zoo, done a little differently. He's just basking in the sun on a Sunday afternoon. Parting with him wasn't easy, but I let him go out into the world to seek his fame and fortune and lo and behold he was imortalized in a poem by award-winning poet, Harry Lafnear (see Episode 12). I am extremely proud.
