Only Half Listening

Driving around east of Austin, Texas, you never know when you're going to come across a field full of ostriches, llamas, or even zebras. One day we found a herd of cows grazing happily with a few zebras among them like tourists who haven't figured out the local wardrobe. Unlike zebras in a zoo, they notice anybody watching them from a very long way off, like this one did. She is watching Victor and I while keeping one ear on the cows hanging out in her pasture. You never know about cows.
